Fashion In Sports
In addition, jerseys may have the logo of the fashion brand that made that jersey. In this area companies like Nike, Adidas, Puma and New Balance are seen.
However, an athlete, as an individual, maybe picked as an ambassador of a fashion brand due to his/her popularity or favouritism radiated by fans. These athletes may not represent only sporting clothing brands, however, they may also represent companies that produce casual, contemporary and even underwear!
Fashion in sports not only includes the lettering on jerseys, the shape of the collar on the 'Polo' shirts or the lining on the skirts of tennis players. It also includes hairstyles, dyes and even secondary accessories like gloves that the athletes put on.
Most athletes include these elements in their attitude towards the game. It usually marks out something they are known for like their celebrations.
Fashion also gives room for the spread of movements, campaigns and even fan protests. A vivid example is the death of George Floyd. After his death, sports federations, teams and athletes contributed to the Black Lives Matter protest through fashion. Jerseys and badges were customized to inform the public of the systematic racism in the world. Athletes also put on a hairstyle that pushed the movement against racism further to the media.

Interesting. I am quite impressed with the fact that BLM in sport was included in the blog.
